las-vegas-elvis-impersonators.jpg

Las Vegas is the only place in the world, outside of Graceland, where the Elvis Presley legacy lives on.

It’s not uncommon to run in to an Elvis impersonator in the streets of Las Vegas, but if you’re a huge fan of the King and your entire trip revolves around getting a glimpse of the great one then here are some sure fire shows to see:

  • Legends In Concert at The Imperial Palace
  • Tribute to Elvis Presley in The Fitzgerald’s Showroom
  • Trent Carlini: The Musical History of the King at The Sahara
  • Pete Vallee as Big Elvis at Bill’s Gambin’ Hall & Saloon

The Life Of An Elvis Impersonator

It’s not easy being The King. The men you see behind those huge sideburns and glistening gold sunglasses spend a lifetime in preparation. It can be a time consuming task to duplicate The King. Whether it’s the 1968 Comeback Elvis, the Early Vegas Jumpsuit Elvis or even Big Elvis, the role of an Elvis Impersonator is no easy task.

Scary moments for guests, hotel employees and onlookers on the Las Vegas Strip as a huge fire broke out Friday morning on the roof of the Monte Carlo hotel.

Interview With Mark Dyer: Owner of The NASCAR Cafe Las Vegas

Vegas eNews: How did you first become involved in ownership of the NASCAR Cafe?

Mark Dyer: Two friends who acquired the rights to he NASCAR Cafe concept in 1995 approached me. I joined them in 1996 as president of the startup company, and we opened our first location in Myrtle Beach, S.C. in February 1997. I thought NASCAR was a great pick for a theme because it represents not just a sport, but also a lifestyle.

Vegas eNews: What directed your attention to the restaurant/tourism industry as a profession to begin with and did you originally see your role (career) in it different than it is?

Mark Dyer: I didn’t seek the restaurant-tourism industry per say, I just thought the NASCAR Cafe concept was promising and thought I’d be able to bring something to the equation as far as building the brand. I never dreamed I’d have the opportunity to buy the rights to the Las Vegas location when I started this.

pamela-anderson-ricksolomon.jpg

Pamela Anderson was very much alone when she attended LAX nightclub’s New Years Eve party even though she claims that she is working things out with her husband of two months, poker player Rick Salomon.

The former Playboy Playmate, model and actress-turned magician’s assistant, filed for divorce on December 14, 2007 citing irreconcilable differences, but then appeared to change her mind only days later announcing on her blog that the couple decided to work things out.

Even after this announcement, Rick was still nowhere to be seen as Pamela rang in 2008.

Pamela has admitted that the couple is experiencing plenty of problems, but has also stated that they are only human and that they are trying to work through their differences.

Could this mean divorce number three is in the cards for 2008?

What do YOU think?

Britney Spears Plans Las Vegas Wedding

Pop Princess Britney Spears Plans Third Trip Down Aisle

In 2004, after a long night of celebration and casino hopping in Las Vegas, the troubled singer married childhood friend Jason Alexander, only to have the marriage annulled 55 hours later. This time she will walk down the isle with her personal assistant Sam Lutfi.

Its reported that Spears is infatuated with Lutfi and has already announced the wedding plans ex-husband Kevin Federline and her lawyers.

Sources say: “Her lawyers have begged her to at least get a prenup, but she didn’t seem to be listening.”

Federline, however, is said to be furious over the ‘Gimme More’ singer’s plans and doesn’t want Sam to be a stepfather to his two-year-old son Sean Preston and 15-month-old son Jayden James.

A family insider told America’s Star magazine: “Kevin has seen Sam lose his temper. We hear he swears a lot and makes very derogatory statements when he’s alone with Brit.

“Kevin has forbidden Britney from having Sam around the boys. In fact, Kevin has threatened to get a restraining order. She’ll lose custody if she allows Sam around them, Kevin will make sure of it.”

But will the danger of losing her kids be enough to keep Spears from heading down the aisle a third time?

Unlikely. Spears appears to be completely under Sam’s spell. Everyone sees through him, except her. He stays with her most of the time, she pays for his food, his bar and restaurant tabs and his clothing.
