Neon Survey: Las Vegas Strip, Sunset to Sahara
In 2002 the Neon Museum granted a commission for a neon survey that logged the historical and artistic significance of neon signs located on the Las Vegas strip.
The survey includes a series of exhibits that touch on different aspects of the gaming industry. It also examines the World Series of Poker and the El Rancho, the strip’s first casino resort.
80 signs were selected. Data sheets that include photos and detailed explanations for each neon sign are published as an online exhibit by UNLV Special Collections.
