The Miss USA Pageant Comes to Las Vegas

Miss USA pageant co-owners Donald Trump and NBC are bringing their glamorous American beauty pageant to the heart of the Las Vegas strip. The organization planned to move to Las Vegas for years as an excitement exists in the city that is ideal for the Miss USA pageant.

The brother-and-sister, song-and-dance stars Donnie and Marie Osmond will host the pageant on April 11 at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino where contestants will be judged on swimsuit, evening wear and interviews. Each category is worth one-third of their final score.

The preliminary competition is at 7 p.m. on Saturday April 5 in the Theater of Performing Arts at Planet Hollywood Resort, 3667 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Tickets cost $25 to $75.

Finals are at 6 p.m. in the Theater of Performing Arts. Ticket prices range from $55 to $150. A dress rehearsal also will take place on April 11 where tickets for that event are $25.

All tickets can be purchased at the Planet Hollywood box office, which is open from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sundays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturdays.
