Over 2,000 of the world’s elite fantasy football players will gather at The Las Vegas Hilton this September 4-7 to take part in a live draft event as part of the World Championship of Fantasy Football.
This year’s WCOFF is expected to draw numerous sports media experts and the attention of every football stats guru. The 2007 WCOFF was won by Kenny Lavallee from Tampa, FL. He received the grand prize of $300,000, a trip to the Super Bowl and a Crystal Trophy for his accomplishment.
The competition will mark the 7th season for the WCOFF. Beginning in 2002, the WCOFF represents the industry’s most tenured high stakes fantasy event. In 2007 the Fantasy Sports Trade Association recognized the WCOFF for hosting the “Best Live Event” of all Fantasy Sports.
“We’re excited to bring the premier event in Fantasy Sports back to the Las Vegas Hilton. The quality accommodations, first class event space and unparalleled hospitality make for an ideal fit for the World Championship of Fantasy Football”, says GridIron Fantasy Sports COO, Dustin Ashby.
The Las Vegas Hilton recently completed a multi million dollar renovation, including upgrades to the elegant guest rooms and suites in addition to expanding the exceptional amenities. The World Championship of Fantasy Football was last hosted at the Las Vegas Hilton in 2005.
