Play Golf in Las Vegas
With the World Series of Poker approaching and people playing poker for hours at a time, visitors often want to get away from the tables.
The golf courses in Las Vegas are some of the most beautiful and challenging in the world. It’s no wonder more and more visitors travel here and gamble in between golf games.
Vegas eNews recommends golfing the following courses:
The grounds of the Wynn holds one of the best eighteen-hole courses in Nevada. Jointly designed by world renowned architect, Tom Fazio and (developer) Steve Wynn himself, this par 70, 7,042 yard course is amazing. The course’s architecture includes a 40 foot elevation change and the 37-foot-tall waterfall on the 18th hole makes it hard to believe that you’re in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip.
This championship course is not only challenging but beautiful. Designed with a tropical theme, the Bali Hai has 4000 trees and over 100,000 plants tastefully done with a combination of white sand offset and black volcanic rock.
A private 18-hole course named for a rocky range that towers near the entrance of the course in the shape of a dragon’s back. Host to the Tiger Woods Foundation annual fund raiser event Tiger Jam featuring celebrities Samuel L. Jackson, Kid Rock, Pamela Anderson and John Mellencamp.
The Tournament Player’s Club 196-yard par-three is beautiful, challenging and the first in an early series of long canyon carries. It’s beauty stems from the contrast between the rugged rock and canyon that embraces the immaculately tended greens and fairways.
A standout course with massive pine trees, a beautiful lake with streams and hardly any other golfers. The exclusivity of the resort has resulted in a longer than average list of celebrity golfers; George Clooney, Matt Damon and Michael Jordan to name a few.
