March Madness And The NCAA Finals In Las Vegas

If you’re planning to go to Las Vegas to bet on the NCAA Semi-finals and Championship round, book your reservation for the duration of at least 5 days in case you also want to plan for a Las Vegas party to celebrate your winnings. Keep in mind that most Las Vegas Hotels do not allow Saturday check-ins.

Here are some great strategies and tips to ensure your Las Vegas March Madness Betting experience is a good one.

Strategies for March Madness Sports Betting

  • If you want a room for the days surrounding the NCAA Championships BOOK NOW!
  • Unlike the Superbowl, the NCAA has not forbidden Las Vegas from having March Madness parties
  • It’s smart to stay in the hotel where you’d like to bet, one member of your posse can save the space while others can conveniently pop up to the room for toilet privacy, changing clothes, etc.
  • Case out some Sportsbooks the evening before the quarter finals, semi-finals and the big game
  • Pick one and get there early (if you want a seat)
  • Most casinos accept cash and casino chips for wagers
  • By law, cell phones are NOT allowed inside of SportsBooks – make your calls outside or risk getting 86′d.

Best Sportsbook To Place Your March Madness Wagers

Wynn Las Vegas - The newest and coolest sportsbook in Vegas, built by Steve Wynn – the guy behind Mirage, Treasure Island, Golden Nugget (when it was rockin) and Bellagio. Wynn Las Vegas’ sports book books some of the biggest and best bets in town, there’s a bar and sandwich joint attached (great food and great drinks). Wynn’s ‘book has tons of seating and multiple monstrous video screens.

Ballys - Bally’s has a nice sized sports book and easy access from the parking lot right out back. Get there early because the place will get crowded quickly.

Las Vegas Hilton - The Hilton’s sports book is directly through the main casino floor. Tons of huge screen TV’s will broadcast the game, and there are lots of slot machines inside the book to keep you or your significant other occupied during lulls in the game. The sportsbook at the Las Vegas Hilton has been recently renovated, including the addition of a poker room in the back. Go all on pre-flop at half time! Lots of parking at the Hilton too.

Bellagio - Nothing is more wonderful than watching blood dripping on the gridiron while surrounded by Picasso, Renoir and Matisse. All the while classy, not sleazy waitresses take note of your finicky drink selection. The Bellagio’s sports book is plush, stylish, elegant and refined.

Caesars Palace – Classic and still ahead-of-the-curve, Caesars Palace’s Race and Sports Book is massive and delicious – it truly is the Center of the Universe for all major sporting events, including NCAA Final Four and Championship games. A large portion of their 20 Large Screen TVs will broadcast the games. Lines on the game are posted at 8:30AM.

MGM Grand - The MGM Grand is the largest hotel in the universe. Its sports book does not pale in comparison. Comfy booths, personal TVs, Video Poker machines, and a gazillion TVs going on all all the time. This is where the big boxing matches take place, so it makes sense that their SportsBook is top notch.
